University College Hospital, London

January 22nd 2014

As part of a refurbishment of the third floor of the EGA Wing at University College Hospital in London, the existing baby tagging system was removed and re-installed. This was in order to accommodate an extension to their existing maternity ward.

The system was successfully decommissioned, re-mapped and recommissioned to allow for a larger tagging area. The system has also been integrated with access control within the area. This allows for doors to be locked in the event of an infant "loitering" by an exit without authority.
