We're pleased to announce a Baby Tagging contract with the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.
The Trust contacted our team to install an infant security system in both Leicester Royal Infirmary and Leicester General Hospital. Both of Leicester's maternity hospitals provide care for over 9,000 mothers every year.
Over the last couple of months we have worked closely with the Midwifery and Estates teams to provide a plan and delivery time which works with their objectives and time-frame.
The introduction of the system will provide a safe and secure maternity environment for mothers and their new-borns while enhancing the Trust's security and patient safety strategy.
The system, which provides ward-wide security will be in operation 24/7, preventing the risk of stranger abduction and the growing risk of family abduction.
Midwifery training is expected to be delivered by December 2023 with the system expected to go live across both sites in January 2024.
