The United Doctors Hospital, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia introduce Xtag Medical’s Mother & Baby Protection System. The large-scale project covers 5 floors fitted with a total of 113 readers in the hospital’s postnatal care unit, known as the ‘Pioneering Friend of the Child’.
Xtag Medical’s infant protection system will support the correct matching of new-borns with their mothers and prevent the risk of abduction in the hospital's fast-paced maternity environment.
Having and using an infant protection system enables the hospital's maternity staff to care for patients more effectively, knowing their patients are safe from a potential mismatch between a mother & baby, and the threat of abduction.
The hospital are committed to providing the highest level of safety standards to ensure the good health of patients before, during and after obtaining treatment services. Their continuous improvements and adoption of patient protection technology has resulted in the hospital ranking first place in the region for patient safety standards “ESR”, with an evaluation score of 99.7% from the Saudi Centre for Accreditation of Healthcare (CBAHI).
